Bliss BnB Lodging: Team Capstone Project

For our capstone project we decided to make an AirBnB clone. Initially we wanted more functionality such as a search component and the ability to book reservations. With any project when faced with time constraints, we had to cut these features so that we had a complete project to present to our cohort.

We used the Bootstrap library for our styling and my team member, Gill Guimaraes did a great job working on that part of our project. For our server we used Express and PostgreSQL in concert with Supabase, the fairly new open source firebase alternative. Randi Reyna and I overcame several obstacles to get a functioning backend for the team to use. I was able to write out the JavaScript to map over the database data that I built for us. I also made a feature that works as a Google Maps clone using Mapbox with markers displaying the name of a property and a description of that property.
